Changes to my study programme
Hello everyone, today´s post is about of changes that I would do to my study programme.
The study program of Dentistry In Universidad de Chile changes in 2015, where the subjects were reformed and changed the names and the topics that you see in there.
But I think that there are some things that still need to be changed, mainly regarded to apply technlogies in favor of teaching and making easier to learn and develop the skills needed to be a god dentist.
What I mean with that, for example, we can learn of the pandemic and how we had to adapt to this times, because I think that the lesons and the group tasks were favored and adapted to the E-learn method. This was a great advance, because Dentistry is a career that demands a lot of time and delegate as much activities as its possible to the E-learn method is a good way to optimize time and make more efficient the time that we spend.
Also, I think that sometimes the workload is excessive, and I am not reffering to the amount of information that we need to lean, but the amount of tasks and jobs in conjuction with the clinical tasks that a dentistry student has to do outside of the university, so at the end of the day time is a issue.
Finally I would talk about of the evaluation methods, that in my way to see it is kind of obsolete, because in our university the teachers are accustomed to evaluate memory over to understanding, so you had to memorize as a parrot to translate it textually in a test with no really understanding what are you writing about and how to use it in real life.
I also think that our workload is excessive, sometimes is difficult to balance the life inside and outside of the university :(
